Pengertian Active and Passive Sentence

     Kalimat pasif atau yang biasa dikenal dengan Passive Voice atau Passive Sentence atau ada juga yang menyebutnya Passive Forms merupakan salah satu bentuk kalimat dalam Bahasa Inggris. Dalam definisi singkatnya Passive Voice berarti suatu bentuk kata kerja transitif dimana secara tata Bahasa Inggris subjek dari kalimat berpelaku sebagai ‘pasien’, yaitu yang menerima aksi dari sebuah pekerjaan. Kalimat Pasif umumnya kontras dengan Kalimat Aktif atau yang biasa dikenal dengan Active Voice, kalimat ini bermakna suatu bentuk kata kerja transitif dimana subjek dari kalimat berpelaku sebagai ‘agen’, yaitu yang melakukan aksi dari sebuah pekerjaan.

  3. Simple Past Tense

    Active  : Gio repaired the computer which is located in the living room

    Passive : The computer which is located in the living room by Gio

  4. Past Continuous Tense

    Active  : The salesman was helping the customer when thief came into the store

    Passive : The customer was being helped by the salesman when the thief came into the store

  5. Present Perfect Tense

    Active  : Many basketball players have trained that kind of dribble style

    Passive : That kind of dribble style have been trained by many basketball players

  6. Past Perfect Tense

    Active  : Otong and Vicky had repaired many cars before they received their mechanic license

    Passive : Many cars had been repaired by Otong and Vicky before they received their mechanic license

  7. Simple Future Tense

    Active  : Chef Ferrara will finish the dish by 05.00 p.m

    Passive : The dish will be completed by Chef Ferrara 05.00 p.m

  8. Future Continuous Tense

    Active  : Burgerkill will be performing a song entitled " Tiga Titik Hitam " on the stage at 08.00 p.m

    Passive : The song entitled " Tiga Titik Hitam " will be performed by Burgerkill on stage at 08.00 p.m

  9. Future Perfect Tense

    Active  : They will have completed the project before the deadline

    Passive : The project will have been completed by them before the deadline

  10. Simple Past Tense
    Active  : The lead guitarist of Flashgod Apocalypes smashed his guitar in their last concert

    Passive : The guitar was smashed by the lead guitarist of Flashgod Apocalypse in their last concert

ADVERB OF TIME


     Adverb of time adalah adverb (kata keterangan) yang digunakan untuk menyatakan waktu terjadinya suatu kegiatan atau peristiwa. When merupakan kata tanya yang dapat digunakan untuk mengajukan pertanyaan untuk menunjukkan adverb of time.
Contoh kalimat Adverb Of Time :
1.      Ani finally found a solutin to solve her academic problem.
2.      Rani arrives from Amerika today.
3.      She’ll have dinner at the cafe near her home tomorrow.
4.      Andi got the birthday surprise party yesterday.
5.      I paid a call my friend in the hospital last week.



           ADVERB OF PLACE
     Adverbs of place adalah kata keterangan yang digunakan untuk menunjukkan tempat atau arah dimana suatu kejadian terjadi. Dalam kalimat dapat diletakkan setelah verba utama (main verb) atau setelah objek.
Contoh kalimat Adverb Of Place :
1.      Anne lives away from her parents.
2.      My apartment faces south.
3.      Indah works in Singapure for a while.
4.      They remain silent here.
5.      She took the child outside.



      ADVERB OF MANNER
     Adverb of manner memberi penjelasan tentang bagaimana atau dengan cara apa suatu kegiatan dilakukan.
Contoh kalimat Adverb Of Manner :
1.      She moved slowly and spoke quietly.
2.      I must study hard.
3.      Please read the instructions carefully before you filling the form.
4.      Let’s do over this report together.
5.      I prefer to live peacefully to hate other people even though they tease me.


      ADVERB OF FREQUENCY
     Adverb of frequency adalah kata keterangan yang menyatakan seberapa sering suatu kegiatan atau peristiwa dilakukan atau terjadi.
Contoh kalimat Adverb Of Frequency :
1.      If something rarely happens, it does not happen very often.
2.      She hardly ever calls me.
3.      There is always some pollution in the air.
4.      Lala seldom washes her shoes by herself.
5.      She never sheds tears in front of other people.
